What can i do to lessen the pain I get on my lower back during my period? I'm only 19 so ive been having my period for only a couple years so far but its really starting to irritate me. And i know it will continue for years to come. What are some ways to lessen the back pain?

Midol works wonders. Also, try a heating pad on that area. It will really ease the pain there. I also sometimes throw in a water pill (diuretic). When the bloating is alleviated, the pain will sometimes subside.

Try those Thermacare Patches for Back Pains, they work GREAT and last up to 8 hours and you will feel SO Good, like you are getting a Massage (not a deep tissue on but still a good one), incidentally Thermacare also offers Patches for Menstrual cramps too.

THEY work the BETTER than the old-fashioned Hot water bottle/Heating blanket trick.

But if you are a person where heat does NOT make your back pain go away, then take extra calcium supplements each day as Calcium helps alleviate or lessen PMS and on-the-Period symptoms.

I can relate, I have had to take Medication for almost 10 years for vomiting, nausea, and other period problems.

Hope this helps.

HEATING PAD or some Midol or pamprin seem to work for me. Good luck to you!

midol IS wonderful. If it doesn't help, go to your doctor - she can prescribe something stronger.

Also, those stick-on one-time-use heating pads are great. you can wear it under your clothes all day and they really help.
