should you be the age of 13 and above before you start wearing gobs and gobs of makeup?

my friend is 12 almost 13 and puts on loads of makeup every single day and i think it is bad for her image and i personally think she should be from the age of 13-16 before she starts that. i think it is very bad because it can be very unhealthy later on in life.

You should never wear gobs of make-up. And more importantly than wearing make-up is caring for your skin with a good cleansing regimen.

Wearing gobs and gobs of makeup is a bad thing, regardless of age.Wearing a hugh amount of makeup now will give her something to laugh at when she see photos of herself at this age when she is older. She will think "OMG I looked like a clown!! I wonder if other people thought I looked like a clown???!!" You can smile and say "Actually, you looked like a trampy clown."
Being so young and wearing so much makeup now will have serious consequences when she gets older.
Her face will start to age prematurely. She will have to continue to pack on makeup to try to look better. Unfortunately, she will be making it worse.
My step-daughter's mother caked on the foundation as a teen. She is also a smoker. Her makeup looks like she shellaced it on. The color of her face is totally unnatural, and it does nothing to make her look younger. Her mother actually looks younger that what she does.
My step daughter at age 18 thought I was nuts when I told her that her smoking and wearing so much makeup would age her prematurely. Now at 22, she sees the difference from what she looked like just 4 years ago, and it's not for the good. People make comments that she has more wrinkles than I do. And she does.
You might not be able to sway your friend into changing, but you can do what is right for yourself.
She will suffer the consequences later on.

In my opinion, 16 is a decent age to start wearing makeup. 13 is WAY too young. I don't care how mature a girl at 13 acts...it is still too young. Some really young girls can look 18 or older when they wear makeup. That is asking for trouble. Looking a lot older than you are can invite problems that a young girl is not ready to handle.

There isn't anything unhealthy about it unless she isn't removing it or is wearing makeup with skin irritants in it (plenty of them are out there). No one should wear "gobs and gobs," and yes, she's too young. It is bad for her image, as people will see her as insecure, trying to be something she isn't, and maybe trashy or easy.

at 13 wear a suddle eyeliner with maybe a little cover up.... and pink blush with some lipgloss.... very good for image and very natural

you should never wear gobs of makeup, espescially at 12, 13 , besause when you grow up, one morning you are going to have bad recules on your face, than you will have to put globs of makeup. Also my friend wears globs of make up, and she thinks she looks pretty. 13 is too young, and NOBODY should wear gobs and gobs of makeup. for one thing that much makeup will clog her pores, making it more likely that she will have acne and otherwise bad skin
