I have Sprint and I hate it. They keep changing there policy on me and its finally the last straw. I want to switch over to T-Mobile but dont want to loose my number. I have been with Sprint and have had this number for about 7 years. So I want to try and get out of my contract with Sprint but not get the fee. But I also want to port the number over to T-Mobile. Any suggestions?

Yes, your T-Mobile dealer can get you out of your contract if he/she wants the deal badly enough. You probably don't want to know what they say, but they pretend to be you and call Sprint. Most numbers will move with you regardless of the circumstance.
Good luck!

No, cant get out of that one. Best advice is to wait till your contract is up. Before your contrat is up, know who your future service provider is what plan you want, etc. On the day of, start service with that provider and you can keep your number, Sometimes, if you check, just for switching, some carriers will pay your early termination fee with the provider you have now. I think T-mobile and cingular does it, which i recomend. t-mobile is great, they dont have as much ceoverage, but they are building it up.

I had the same problem. If you break your contract it has to be for a reason other than just to break it. I called sprint and told them that I have dropped calls, bad reception and I was not paying for something that I can't fully use. They just ended my contract with no cancellation fee and I carried my number over to my new carrier

I read somewhere that the best way to get them to drop you is to use roaming as much as possible. If your contract includes free roaming, find a spot in your area where you are on roam and make lots of calls from there. It costs sprint money, and they will politely ask you to find a new provider.

No, either wait till the contract or pay the fee, oh and don't go to T-Mobile they are just as bad. Try Metro PCS, Verizon, Alltel, or whatever other service there is in your area.
