Hi Roxy,
Actually, It can. But this usually only happens when the tattoo has not been well taken care of. Improper moisturizing (lotion with unscented lotion, not vaseline, as much as possible for the first 2-3 weeks), exposure to the sun (this is especially true, the sun will fade the tattoo very easily, so there should be no overexposure for the first 2-3 years depending on the ink used), and improper cleaning methods used (no scrubbing the tattoo, just gentle washing with unscented soap for the first couple of months.)
Hope this helps!

Not if you get a tattoo done by a professional artist and protect it when out in the sun.
What you may be seeing are tattoos seen through tanned skin. A tattoo is filtered by your skin. If you tan or have naturally darker skin the tattoo will look differently than when you first got it and there is still ink in the top layers of your skin.
exfoliate (after it is healed of course) and use sunscreen whenever you are outside (tshirts don't protect you enough) and in the sun. It will help keep your tattoo true to original.

No, the only way to cover black is with black. I have a cover up and my ex boyfriend's brother has been a tattoo artist for over 20 years. I have been to a bunch of conventions and have never seen black ink covered by any other color.

No, they have better ink now. I have 20 and they are all black. Most of the people you see with green tattoos are older people with old ink in them.

Don't get a tattoo... It may seem cool now. You may even think it looks good now, but when your a mom trying to find a swimsuit that covers it up so that you don't feel self contious when you go swimming w/ your kids and when your an 80 yr old grandma w/ grandkids and all that your going to regret it
In answer to your question though, I don't think it will turn green

In most people they have turned colors due to light exposure; however they have developed a new type of ink for tat's only that will not fade.

They can. Depends on the quality of the ink and the person doing the tat. I have both of my kids names on me and I got them done in black and it has been almost 6 yrs and it has faded a little bit but still looks alright. Good luck to you.

DON'T DO IT.
It will soon go out of style and you'll regret it.
You don't want to be a 50-60 yearld grandmother with an wrinkely tattoo do you?

When I met my husband 24 years ago his tattoo's were colorful and bright today they are just green. I believe the body absorbs the color.
