I often wonder why republicans are so adamant about sticking behind Bush. Virtually EVERY republican president in the past was a better president that GWB, and even DEMOCRATS usually agree with that. Most liberals would even take Reagan or Nixon back over GWB.

So I don't fully understand the loyalty to THIS president over those others I mentioned. The world is not safer than it was BEFORE he came along, and I don't know about you, but I am certainly poorer now that I was under Clinton, finding a new job is now MUCH more difficult (at least where I live), and the price of college is higher than it has ever been. Even past republican presidents were not this bad.

So why the loyalty to Bush jr in particular? Why are republicans SO CONVINCED that he is the greatest president they could have hoped for?

P.S. This is a rhetorical question. I don't really expect an honest answer free of sarcasm and sound bites, but if you'd like to try an honest answer, I'll be listening.

When people say that Bush is not a bad president they are just as moronic as Bush is.
If I would had voted for him, which I didn't, I certainly would never admit it or put in print that Bush is a good president. How can anyone with a brain the size of a pea can't see all the soldiers that have been killed & it's all Bush's fault ! I would like to see those people go jump in Lake Iraq !

I would say without a doubt yes. He is a complete idiot. The American people that voted him should be ashamed of their error in judgment. He has done nothing but look out for his friends and big business. He has never worried once about the people that make up this country. He claims to be a man of religion but where does he show his care for other people. Since he has been in office gas prices have skyrocketed, we are in a war that has nothing to do with our life here in the states, and people at home are turning to crime because of desperation. This guy is a bad speaker and proof that you can be a C student with family money and run the biggest country in the world. Bush is a liar and a bad one at that. I mean how did we wind up in a war with Iraq when we were chasing Osama Bin Laden for the twin tower disaster? People got spoiled when we had Clinton in office and the progress our country made. The biggest complaint they had on him was that he cheated on his wife. He never cheated the American people like George Bush.

Impossible to tell yet. It takes about 20 years for historians and the public to make a final disposition about how good or bad a President really was.

Take a President who most people respect: FDR. While he was President boy did he get alot of opposition to The New Deal.

Probably.

The most wasteful president,at least.

At least Jimmy Carter didnt spend $213Million a week for 3 years running on a war with no direction and 100+ civilian casualties a day!

Repeating the same idiotic, inaccuracies over and over does not make them fact, despite what the liberal hate mongers teach you...

There have been too many crappy democrat Presidents who keep trying to outdo each other for the honor of worst to ever worry about any Republican taking that honor...

Will liberals ever find anything meaningful to discuss - or do they think that all this negative chirping is getting them any additional followers?

Will this go down as the most asked and most pointless question on this site? It's called a mantra. You wish it were so, so you keep saying it, trying to convince yourself and others that it will come to pass. So I've got another one for you. "Will my IQ ever increase?" Keep up the good work, dude.
