Implantation takes place 7-10 days after fertilization and that is when a blood test can be done. Only 3-5% of women get true implantation bleeding, so that is why it is important to see or call your doctor if you do have bleeding/spotting.

Bleeding sometimes never takes place, i have never bleed with my 2 sons and I am currently 15 weeks along now and haven't not had implantation bleeding. It is never too early to go see the nurse or doctor, I went at 5 weeks along with my pregnancy now. They always do pregnancy tests which don't involve seeing anyone there.

implantation bleeding does not happen to everybody. It never happened to me in my twin pregnancy (twice the implantation) and it didn't happen with my third baby. What I'm saying is don't worry if it doesn't happen to you. Also, don't worry if it does.

If it does it would normally occur about a week after conception. the embryo divides cells and travels down to its special spot in the uterus where it will plant it self and begin to grow.
