First, I will grant that not all rap music is like this, but much of what is played on the radio and is popular is:
All the "artists" seem to talk about is 45's, bustin caps, smokin dope, smokin crack, 24 shots of patron, f*cking hoes, beatin peoples asses, b*tches, booty, killin n*ggas, hustlin, stayin on the grind, grillz, rims, cars, bling, etc.
Do these people have no substance whatsoever? No creativity? Why can't they think of anything more to say? Do they do it just because they know the formula sells or do they just completely lack originality? Are they just completely without any sort of intelligence whatsoever?
Thoughts?

And don't respond with "you can change the station." That's not what I'm asking. I'm just asking why they demonstrate no lyrical abilities.

because madd people are buying it.. if the market wanted mor eintellgent rap, then they would be talking about smart stuff. i agree, most rap sucks, and its nothing but an image, but most kids think its a lifestlye, emulate it, and end up being irresponsible and dangerous.

If you don't like it don't listen to it....they aren't forcing you to listen to them....change the station.....it's your right ;)
I love rap and hip-hop though.....so be careful what you say ;)
