It is true that many people miscarry without even knowing it. Did you find out why you had the miscarriage in the first place? I had a miscarriage (I'm now pregnant) but it was due to a lack of progesterone. Since we knew this from the first pregnancy my doctor immediately started testing when I suspected I was pregnant.

Hi and so glad there are men and women out there protecting the US. Much thanks to him. Don't get discouraged. Amazingly I've been pregnant four times (year after year) but they all ended in miscarriages. So there was no problem getting pregnant. We went to see a fertility specialist to see if we could get some help. They did tests and everything came out normal. So the Dr. told us to just get pregnant and come back and they'll monitor the baby. However, it's now been a year and no luck in even getting pregnant. It's hard to not think about it and want to get pregnant the minute you start trying. This is very normal. Give it a few more months and if you have no luck go to your OB and ask them for suggestions. Don't get discouraged yet and enjoy the time with your hubby. Good luck and baby dust to you!!! God Bless!

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Many women have miscarriages and many women have them before they even know they're pregnant because they occur before a woman even misses a period or think she's even pregnant and takes a test. Yes, getting pregnant takes time. It happens very easily for some women and not so easily for many others. The good news is that you were able to get pregnant. Just keep trying and it will happen again. Stress does make it worse, so try not to to (easy for me to say, I know!) and just realize it will happen, maybe not as quickly as you want, but it will. If you're really worried, see your dr. to assure that you don't have any problems that could have caused the first miscarriage (not saying there are because MANY completely healthy women have them, but if it would make you feel better, do it to reassure yourself).

Some women do have probems maintaining a pregnancy due to a lack of sufficient progesterone. Drs. can test to see if this is a problem by doing a blood test after ovulation. I'm not sure if your dr. would do it after "only" one miscarriage, but again, if it'd make you feel better, it wouldn't hurt to ask. It's your body, so if you feel strongly about doing something or having your dr. do it to assure yourself that you're okay, fight to have it done (not saying your dr. wouldn't, but many won't because they don't think it's necessary or want to wait longer).

Good luck!

Southern California Edison, our electric company, puts fliers in with their bills about the effects of EMF (electro magnetic fields) on the body. The scientists who have studied the effects do conclude that there could be a link between EMF and miscarriage. What this means to you is you will want to try to stay away from appliances that produce a high amount of EMF like the vacuum cleaner, can opener, hair dryer, flourescent lighting. God bless your journey.
