I remember that a few years ago Canada had a special category of immigration that allowed people that didn't have enough 'points' to immigrate. I think the condition was that the migramt would have to work for two or three years as domestic help (nanny or cleaning lady). I know that it is not the greatest type of job, but it is a way in if you don't meet educational/skilled labour requirements etc.

Go to the airport nearest you....book a flight to Montreal....get off the plane when it lands in Montreal....ta-daaa! there you are in Montreal.
Now that was pretty simple wasn't it?
