It was, it is a good choice for any team that wants to spend $$$, the Jets should have re-signed him since he was a pro-Bowler and the Pats should have kept him even thou he was injured. He is a great pass-defender and is tough and tackles hard. KC needs good defensive players since their rookie Derrick Johnson didn't live up to his expectations. By selecting Tamba Hali, I think Herman Edwards clearly showed what he was going to be focusing on over the season. Ty Law should help their pass-defense, but the offense still needs to be ready to go in an event the D wears out.

Ty Law is still a great corner back and he has another few years before he's done. He may be slowing down a bit but he's just so physical when it comes to playing corner. He can still cover guys like Steve Smith, or Chad Johnson. After putting up 10 int's last year I don't think anyone can doubt him being a GREAT addition to the KC defense who was at the bottom of the league in takeaways. He'll not only come in and make an impact as a starter, but he'll bring a new mentality to the team with his superbowl experience. He'll be able to guide some of those young corners KC has.

Adding Ty Law to ANY defense is a good choice. He's not THAT old yet, he has 2-3 years left before he isn't starter material anymore. He's still fast...and above that...he's smart and reads his opponent which is why he led the league in picks this past season.

Why not? He's still a good impact player- he just isn't there for the future. He can sure help some of the rookies along. then maybe they could have a young "Ty Law" but for now he's still good.

His starting days are over but having an experienced CB to be used as a backup and/or nickle back isn't a bad thing at all.

Anybody with Championship experience is a good choice to have on your team. It brings that mentality to the team dynamic.

obviously he is. as old as he is, he's still a shut down corner. look what he did last season? he came back to play from a season ending injury, and many QB's tested him. he made them pay too. 10 INT's. that's proof that he still has it.
