my blood test revealed minimal low thyroid and i was put on meds.i had no symptoms of low thyroid,just tested that way.

It might not be a bad idea to talk about this with your physician, and see if maybe they can postpone the medication, and just do another thyroid test in a month or so (just to see if the one test was inaccurate or just an oddity).
My mother thought that her thyroid medication was unnecessary, so she cut the dosage in half herself. The doctor really pushed her not to manage her own medications like that, and she took the full dose. She has so much energy now! She never noticed the symptoms b/c she got so used to having low energy levels.

They probably gave you the medication just to be safe. My mother had thyroid disease and had to go into surgery for it.
