It's probably the hormones. I used to cry a lot, too. It's also overwhelming to be pregnant and a future parent. You should talk more with your husband/partner. It helps a lot when you know you're not alone.
I'm on my second pregnancy and I still feel overwhelmed and cry sometimes but not as much. It gets easier because you know more.

You are SO normal! Telling you to relax at this point is like telling an insomniac to just get some rest...
What really helped me was listening to a meditation CD by Belleruth Naparstek which was full of guided imagery for a healthy pregnancy and successful childbirth. I let her soothing voice guide my thoughts and I'd sit on my birthing ball and just tune out the rest of the world for 20 minutes.
What these CDs did for me was amazing!
I walked around 5 cm dilated for more than three weeks - that would cause even a well-composed woman to be just a little anxious - but I'd just listen to the CDs and tune out the rest... Naparstek's childbirth imagery even got me through my delivery with absolutely no pain medication (no epidural), no episiotomy, and no tearing!!!
Most of the anxiety before childbirth comes from the unknown. This fear can be de-programmed by visualizing a positive experience!
Best wishes!

Your hormones are out of wack because of the pregnancy.
Remember high school when everything was always such a big deal and it was easy to cry over nothing? That was all about puberty when your hormones were raging.
When you start to feel overwhelmed by emotion, remind yourself that it's your body acting goofy. That helps you rationalize and keep you from freaking out. It's okay to have a good cry if you want.
Don't be afraid to talk to your doctor the next time you see him/her. It's also very normal to be depressed after childbirth and there is nothing wrong with taking short term antidepressants to help you cope with the major life change ahead of you - you just can't take them until after the baby is born.

Your hormones are kicking in high gear...that's all that it is. I can remember laughing histerically to the point where I was crying to just crying (sobbing) for no reason so you're ok. After you have the baby your hormones are going to go very low and there might be a point where you feel blue. If it gets worse the just a case of the blues you need to tell your Dr. Congrats and sleep while you can ; - )

Ye it is so normal, when you are pregnant there are so many things going on with your body and hormones. After you have the baby also, the first couple weeks of post labor will be the same way, just warning you. You will be so happy, but also on an emotional roller coaster, and probably very tired also. Good Luck with your new baby .

Your body is getting ready to begin some huge changes. It's normal to be scared, worried, anxious even depressed. Your whole world is going to change. Create a support network, have you considered looking for a free doula? They can offer you great support during this time.
Remember there are millions of women who have experienced the same things.
Congrats and best wishes mama! You are beginning a beautiful journey.

Yes, its all those raging hormones. Perfectly normal. Just try to remember that's what it is and that thing will seem a lot more intense then how you would normally look at them. Take care of yourself and have a great time with your new baby.

Yes this is normal. And you will feel that you are loosing your mind after child birth which is also normal. But you need all the Support, Love & Attention you could get from family and friends. This will help you to overcome this emotional storm.
