If the parents make sure that the kids know that only in video games can you be that violent then no, but if the kids start reenacting things from the games and the parents let the kids become violent then yes

It all boils down to the parents. If they teach thier children the danger's of violence profanities etc. Then it would not do any harm.


The unguided child who plays it will tend to wanna try all those cool violent moves with thier friends at school. So the answer is Yes&No

Well, if you let a five year old plat Grand Theft Auto, its not going o have a positive effect on him. But it wont neceserily make him violent. I think if the parents practice discretion on the games their kids play, they will turn out fine. I say just pay attention to the ratings ESRB give the games.

Violent games make children less shocked by violence because they see it more regularly, though I don't believe it has an effect on the way they act to a certain extent.

Violent video games are a bad influence, but it really depends on the parenting skills. If you are teaching your child right from wrong, the child should know not to imitate what he/she sees on those violent video games.

Little children, yes. They do have an effect on their behavior. Because children are still learning, they do what they see others do.
