YES, ABSOLUTELY!
While it is never good to go into the sun unprotected, to go to the point of peeling is very dangerous! Skin cancer is very real, but not only that, you are setting yourself up for infection and scarring. Going back into the sun while peeling is exposing the newest, tender skin to the rays, burning, scarring, infection and worse can result easily. Cover up, or at the VERY least, use the highest protection of sunblock. Please take care of yourself.

Yes, generally the skin beneath the peeling skin is VERY tender because it's just now being exposed to the outside world...it'll be more sensitive to the elements and you could do even worse damage to the areas where your skin has already peeled off...keep yourself covered when outdoors..

It is like adding insult to injury. Protect yourself, use sunscreen, wear protective clothing and wear a hat. The sun damage done when you are young is what causes skin cancer when you are older.
