An expansion pack that's the best or two.

I would suggest Nightlife because of the dating and cars. I'm a romantic at heart, so I enjoy making my sims have dream dates.
University is pretty boring, but it gives you more options in the game if your sims get through it. Open for Business is not really anything special either, except it's fun to make stores.
The new Pets expansion pack looks like it will be very fun too.
So my #1 suggestion is Nightlife and #2 is Pets.

If you plan on eventually getting all of the expansion packs, I would get University first since it has another life stage, more career options, and if you were to go back and get it later, you would have to uninstall the game and reinstall everything in the order that the expansion packs were released.
Then Nightlife because of the cars options, and more activity options. However, the stuff packs are just that-stuff. They don't bring anything more to the game other than additional clothes and objects.

i would suggest nightlife because it now has cars and you can go out on the town with a date to a fancy restaraunt or go dancing i think all the expansions are good but nightlife is the best

Nightlife is pretty awesome. It's way better than University, for sure. If you're only getting one, go with Nightlife.

I totally suggest nightlife or the new one coming up Glamorous
life stuff.
