yeah like there is no story to it it makes no sense like they just drive in a ferrari and have sex with this asian chick that does everyone in the film and they sell coke but we never see any coke or anyone doing coke its a waste of cash

There you go, 12 year olds love it, they are so enthralled by the gatuitous sex and drugs which are new to them that anything else is just icing on the cake.
I wasn't a fan of the tv series, I was even less thrilled they were making it into a movie... I'm waiting for Hee-Haw The Movie now...

Nothing will EVER compare to the original TV series "Miami Vice". If anything, I would have assembled the cast from the TV series, just like they did with the Star Trek franchise. After they made a "continuation" movie with Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas, they then could have introduced "The Next Generation" of Miami Vice with the new characters to carry on Vice's legacy.

What did you expect? Look who made it and look at the stars!! The script was definitely lacking and I have no idea how it beat out Pirates 2.
