We can't prove it directly, Dodds, but there are 200 billion stars in our galaxy and at least as many galaxies beyond. Even if we say the Earth's position in the temperate zone of the sun is rare, it makes it almost impossible for there not to be. The real problem is distances. Despite what Science Fiction may have us believe, the distances between stars are truly awesome. It takes light four years to reach us from the nearest star, Proxima Centurae. It would take eight years to say hello to them. There's a very famous formula called Drake's Equation which I've put in for you below. Best question I've answered for days!

No proof as yet about people on other planets. But there are billions stars out there. Say 10% could support its own galaxy. Say 10% do support a galaxy and of those 10% have planets could support life it gives you a lot of options!

proof isnt needed. the numbers say it. the sheer amount of systems very similar to ours actually says that somewhere there is a planet identical to ours with identical people doing the same thing at at the same time, and yet another one still the same as that but with one tiny difference, like a coffee cup one inch to the left of where it is on the other world. this illustrates the size of the universe somewhat, but it is still way beyond our comprehension. hope this helps.

No proof but look out of the window at night, see all them stars?

It would be a bit arrogant of us to believe we are the only life in this universe wouldn't it?!? The laws of probability tell us we cant be the only ones...

Lets hope they are doing a better job of preserving their planets than we are!

I have not long left another planet and yes there were people there! They looked funny, wore funny clothes only used a fraction of the brain power that we earthlings use and they had a funny accent. Then again sorry, Ive just left Scotland, not another planet!

We don't know... Now we can proof only existence of other planes. But it's high probability that on other planets is life.

I think that there are other life forms on other planets however the gov't won't tell us because just imagine how people would react. I'm sure they aren't as worried about us as we of them. Hey if you're using 10% or more of your brain power, you are considered alien because it's not the usual norm that a human uses which is 5% 0r less. Think about it.

Some of the people who pose questions here appear to be on a different planet.

Who knows we cant evan get out side are own galaxy, and there are billions-trillions of galaxy’s with billions of stars just like are own sun, who’s to say that another planet didn’t get lucky with just the right distance from there the sun to support life? Its like rolling dies with a trillion side but you have been rolling this dies for ever i think the probability is so grate that the answer is yes there is life somewhere is just knowing where it is!
