When he came out with his book about steroids in baseball, all the "experts" and players said he was a liar. Come to find out he was telling the truth. What do you think ?

Actually, some have.
During a radio interview on Boston sports radio WEEI, the hosts basically laughed Canseco off the air... after the 3/17/04 hearings they all publicly stated that Canseco was closer to being right than everyone thought.
They've since had him on and apologized to him.

Because they don't owe him an apology. They can admit that they were wrong, but they did nothing personal against him-they just didn't believe his claims since he himself used steroids. He doesn't expect one anyway. He has made tons of money off the book and other things. He wants the publicity more than anything.

It shows weakness to apologize. Critics will never weaken themselves to his level. True or untrue, no one wants to believe what he says and give him the upper hand that he thinks he deserves.
