In English it is usually called The Algerian War of Independence. It was a colonial struggle between France the occupying nation and the FLN. Have a look at the Wikipedia article:

it's the algerian war, fought between france and the then french colony of algeria fighting for its independence between 1954 and 1962. What's particular about this colonial war is that France never actually declared war upon Algeria... so the tensions between the races in France were huge for quite a while.
