Why don't you get over yourelf and accept that America is a free country?

Most African Americans in the U.S. today have been here for generations, probably much longer than your family has been here, so why should they? They wouldn't know the language, the customs, the traditions, the religions, or anything else. Say you're of German heritage and your family has been here for 4 or 5 generations. How would you feel if you were made to go back to Germany? You wouldn't know anything about it or know anyone there. Would that be fair? No.

PS: Many people don't seem to have any idea about Africa anyway, so who are they/you to tell anyone where to go. Africa is actually a beautiful place with tons of heritage that some of us only wish we had (so much more in touch with their religions, families, and land than many of us ever were or will be). There is a lot of starvation in Africa, yes, but Africa is a huge place and it's not right to say they'd go there and starve, because depending on the region, they might be even better off than they are here. South Africa for example has an even better economy and lifestyle than most of the U.S. does. Ethiopia on the other hand (which is almost 2000 miles Northeast of South Africa) has the poorest economy in the world, and sadly enough, is what we think of when everyone says "Africa". If you actually knew anything about the planet you live on, you might realize that Africa is a very beautiful place and shouldn't be said with the type of attitude you use.

Do you even realize what African Americans have done for our society?? They have made and taken part in so many inventions that we use every day. They have formed our culture in ways you obviously can't understand. So please don't try to base an entire race and culture off a couple thugs at the mall. Look at everyone as an individual and realize how hard they're working. I guarantee there's at least a million African Americans out working hard and getting money to feed there families and contribute to the economy right now, while you're sitting here asking stupid questions on Yahoo. Any given perso, regardless of belief, can name at least 5 or 10 famous African American inventors and people of history. How many people will even remember or give a damn who you are by the time you die? You're just a little speck on this planet like everyone else, and if you think you're so special as to tell people where to go, what to do, or how to live their life, you are very sadly mistaken.

You need to grow up and learn to accept that everyone here is AMERICAN. African-Americans are no less American than you or I and therefore have every right to be here. If you have a problem with that, move to some isolated city in Wyoming and you'll be fine. We don't need you around here anyway.

First, you need to know the difference between African americans and black americans. African americans were born and raised in Africa and came to this country for a better way of life. Black americans were born and raised here in america.
Second, if your anglo ancestors had not been so lazy and had stuck to doing their own menial labor and stopped thinking they were better than everyone else then maybe africans would have never been sent here and sold into slavery. Every culture that resides here has contributed to growth of america. Everytime your anglo ancestors set sail for someplace new they brought back something or someone that their people had never seen. So don't go blaming minorities for what YOUR ancestors caused. Africans didn't voluntarily come to the americas. They were purchased and transported and sold. Go back to school and get a little more education before dumping your ignorance on the internet. PS stop blaming ppl for the problems in your life.

Lets no longer generalise an whole continent, we could? I believe that a few Africans would have ambivalent feelings toward the ones African Americans who declare they're African. I have an African American pal, and he or she maintains on yapping how African she is, abnout going again to her residence nation, and many others. It takes greater than epidermis color to be African (I don't imply this in an unpleasant method!). My ancestors got here from Slovakia, however that doesn't imply I am a Slovak.

Same reason whites don't go back to Europe and same reason the people before us don't migrate back to Asia where THEY came from and then started calling themselves NATIVE AMERICANS.

Truth is, when a land becomes inhospitible or resources are becoming scarce for a population, they migrate to a location with more resources. This is how people got to be all over the Earth.

OK, then, why don't you go back to the country you came from? And don't say you belong here--We all immigrated here from 1492 on, except the Native Americans, and even they came over on the land bridge from Asia. Chances are pretty good that many African Americans' ancestors were here before yours, anyway--they should be telling YOU to go back.

They contribute to our society like everyone else does. What would sending them back to Africa accomplish? Nothing. Perhaps we should work on treating all different types of people with respect and then just maybe we'd have better world to live in.

They do complain a lot about slavery and be degraded in the U.S. but if they think it's that bad for them here, would they want to starve in Africa?
