What a blessing in my day to see some truly beautiful answers to your question. A prayerful environment can be learned from1 Corinthians chapter 13 starting with verse 4, detailing what love is.

Go to church.
Speak as if you were speaking to Jesus. Act as if Jesus were at your side. Treat your spouse and children in the way that Jesus would.

#1--Thank the Creator for every blessing, especially at meals, when you first rise, and just before bed.
#2--Cut down on clutter. The less "stuff" you have to focus on, the more you can focus on what really matters to you.
#3--Set aside time in your day to study. Again, it is a matter of focus.

Don't forget that every person, every sparrow, every blade of grass is part of the wonder and beauty of Creation. Make your life one of gratefulness and grace.

Be Blessed.

Know Jesus. Read God's Word. Then emulate what you learn from the Bible. If you have others living with you that don't support you and your beliefs than you should pray for them daily, and (If your relationship with God is hurting your environment) then pray and worship by yourself until you situation changes.
