Everything I know about Fedel is through the media. I wonder if the media has gave him a bad image because of his beliefs and who he is against. (I hope someone directly from Cuba has an answer but anyone can answer and get best answer)

First off - is there such a thing as a GOOD Dictator? His word is law and who is he to get to hand select the Haves & Have Nots?

Do you know anyone who has HIV? My friend's uncle (who stayed behind with his elderly mother when the family came over 15 years ago) contracted it and was immediately "removed from the population" and his restaurant/house was confiscated for the State. My friend's grandmother was taken to a State Institute and died shortly after - the family hasn't been able to find out exactly when or how and they assume the uncle is dead also.

I dont know about Castro but thats what the media does the best. Twist and turn the truth and show you the way they want you to see. None of us every heard Bush in person. He's done so many bad things but still what do you know of him? He's in for the wellness of this country. For all we know Castro runs a country. How is what you learn from news which isnt owned by him.

I didn't know that. Castro has been an excellent dicator. He's killed his political opponents. Made life so miserable in Cuba that his own people risk swiming through 90 miles of shark infested water to get away from him. Which by the way they aren't allowed to leave because social contract says they you are the property of the state and thus can't be allowed to leave without permission.

He may have been involved in the assasination of President Kennedy.

All in all he has been one of the greatest dictators of all time. Just al little behind, Hitler, Stalin and Mao.

If Cuba is so great why are so many willing to risk their life to flee Castro's oppression? Read about the history of how Cuba came to be the country it is today.

Before Castro came to power the average Cuban had a higher standard of living than he has today. Before Castro came to power Cuban farmers used tractors today they use oxen.

Castro has lead a country with a huge potential nowhere but backwards.

Fidel Castro is a bit of a b4stard. Everybody knows this. The media is not painting him as anything. He kills and rapes. Get with the program.

The media may be portraying him as a bad dictator. They should be showing how bad it is for a country to have a dictator to begin with.
