You have to wait till after incubation, then you can see if there is more than one by different characteristics

you usually dont have a contaminated "colony" unless two or more colonies fuse together. What you usually have are different kinds of colonies on the same petri plate.
You need to isolate the colony of your choice (based on morphology) and culture it again in the broth.

look at each quadrant seperately, if there is more than one type of colony growing then it is contaminated
