It means that I work actively at making my country a better place, a more ethical place, and hopefully one day a safe place for all of us. We are not doing too badly considering where we came from 12 - 14 years ago. In the very least we do not have army tanks in our streets anymore...

I'm a proudly South African girl now living in Virginia USA. I love going back home on vacation every year and keep up to date with what's going on back home. We're proud of our heritage, our beautiful country, our music, our food and all the different ethnic groups that make up South Africa. It's a wonderful country full of fabulous people who laugh a lot (at themselves and in general) and hopefully I'll pass on my 'proudly South African' up bringing to my babies.

To me, it's a bit of a marketing ploy that sometimes goes too far. Don't get me wrong, it's a great campaign; but I don't need adverts all the time to tell me to love my country.
I think it's brilliant to promote South African goods and services, though.
But using it to promote really notoriously bad organisations like Home Affairs is just ridiculous!
I'm proud of being from the Rainbow Nation. I'm proud of my country and what we've done. I'm proud of our accents, culture and diversity.

When my tank of pertol is worth more than the car itself, and when I consider it a treat not to be mugged for a while. I am staying in Kenya for 6 years, love the friendly people , not as hostile as in SA with all the apartheid grudges. Went back for a holiday to SA and got mugged there!!! I feel saver in Kenya
