That's simply not the case, but what you call "black music" is just at the top of the charts these days. People are picky about music, styles always shift and change in popularity from week to week, month to month. Anyway what does the color of someones skin have to do with music. I love rock music, but look who started it guys like Little Richard, Bo Diddly, Fats Domino, Chuck Berry and the list goes on and on. Even Elvis was influenced by "black music" as you call it.

I agree that all aspects of popular musio seem to hold a rap or hip hop styling. Regardless of the name calling in one of your answers, you were not inquiring as to the beginnings - dare I say - roots - of rock and roll, but the current trend.
Rock still offers alternative, americana, folk, guitar rock, hard rock, metal, punk - to a degree, and dare I say it country.
Operating a small independent record label, we are looking outside the current norm - it seems that everyone wants to be the next Justin Timberlake or Mariah Carey - our market is the rest of the country that is looking for a return to traditional rock and roll.
To answer your question - why does the USA only make black music these days - the music is out there - hip hop and rap dominate the radio stations - I would try a college station if you are looking for traditional rock and roll.

Yeah, Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Coheed And Cambria, Breaking Benjamin, Shinedown, the Wreckers, all the country music stars, Powerman 5000, the Panic Channel, Slayer coming out with a new album - yes, heavy metal is black music (okay, maybe black as in dark) - Actually the music industry puts out music that they can sell and make money off of, they don't care who does it, as long as they can get the $$$$ - why do you think they are in the business, for the love of music.

All of the questions you have asked are stupid. You are a racist person. If you dont like the music then change the station. The USA allows freedom of choice. By the way...there is no such thing as "black music" nor is there "white music". Your a loser.

If you stop looking at what you want to see, and read into history, rock and roll started with black people. Blues started with black people. Rap, hip-hop, and R & B started with black people. Soul music started with black people. And Jazz started with black people. So, I really doubt us white people have much of anything to say about most music being black. We owe it to the blacks for inspiring us, when it comes to music anyway. The only music white people can take credit for is friggin' Honky Tonk crap! And don't get me wrong, I'm white. I don't get into rap or country. I grew up a rock and roll baby and now I'm a tachno-clubby. I like most kinds of music. But whether I like a particular kind of music or not, I can at least admit where it all started. Read a little before you assume you know what you're talking about please.

Dude where do you live. Duh there is no such thing as black or white music and there are plenty of white people that rap or sing hip hop and r and b and there are black country msusic stars so to say music is either black or white you ar totaly mislead. Music is many diffrent colors not just black or white. Get a life and some common sense
