Don't take a chance. The beginning stages of a miscarriage can mask itself as a period for up to a week and several days of a small amount of blood follows before pain that feels like an appendicitis . It happened to me. And after tests in a hospital emergency room, I was surprised with the announcement of both a bladder infection and a pregnancy. Consult a OB GYN doctor.

It could have been a chemical pregnancy (very early miscarriage). A lot of women have these and don't even know because they get their period before they even take a pregnancy test. You could also be pregnant as some women continue to get their periods for several months into a pregnancy (I think it's rare but I have heard of it happening). Try waiting another day or two and try another test. If it's still positive, then you're pregnant and make an appt. with your dr. :)

That happened to me before. Certain pregnancy tests will tell you that if you take a pregnancy test around the time of your period u may get a positive result. But just in case go to your gyn. for sure. I was also pregnant before and had my period at the same time.

Call your doctor. If the bleeding is lighter than your normal period it may have been implantation bleeding. Also if the blood is brown, it is old blood. Any spotting/bleeding in pregnancy needs to be reported.

You might have had a miscarriage, but some women are pregnant & get their periods for the first couple of months. You should check with your obgyn.

Is it a period (regular) or is it more spotting like a reddish/brown color? I had that with BOTH pregnancies.
