I'm not sure what it is, I know it isn't ick, ick looks like your fish has grains of sugar all over his body, but I do know that table salt is used to get rid of ick/ich which is a parisite. It might also work for whatever your fish has if it is a parasite. To treat ich I use 2tsp per gallon, slowly. It won't hurt your fish and is better than chemicals, so it's worth an try. take a cup of water out of the tank and mix a tsp or two of salt in it till it's well diluted then slowly pour it back into the tank. do this about every hour until you have aprox. 2tsp per gallon in the tank. continue this treatment for 3 weeks even if the parasites seem to be gone they could still be in the tank.

Yes, it is anchor worm. It is quite common on goldfish and not that big of a deal.

But, there really is no effective medicine that will kill the worm and not the fish.

If you are extremely careful, you can try a product called Paragon or Paragon 2, both are antiparasitic medicines, but both are dangerous to use on many types of fish.

Really, the easiest thing to do is to catch it in a net, place it on a counter or table and pull it off with a pair of tweezers. Its easy to do, only take about a minute.

Most fish parasites cannot live in salted water. As an added bonus, it causes the fish to produce more slime aiding the healing process and preventing more parasites form attaching to the fish. It also doesn't affect the bacterial cycle of the tank. Change fifty percent of the water and add aquarium salt for freshwater fish (or any non-iodized/kosher salt) at one level tablespoon for every 5 gallons of water.

What your fish has is probably a thing called ick. If you go to a pet store and ask them for a medication for it they will show you where it is. You need to make sure that your fish tank is clean because it breeds in nasty water.
Good Luck

I hope this helps
