Like what beach is best, nightclubs, restaurants. Anybody know? Locals or people who have vacationed here?

I live in Corpus...good luck finding much interesting.
There's the Aquarium, the Science & History Museum...the Lexington. We've got beach, of course, and it's okay although I hear there's a ton of seaweed down there right now. (And, you have to pay to park on a huge chunk of it if you don't have a permit.)
Retaurants? We like Mao Tai (Chinese) on SPID. It's nothing spectacular decor-wise, but the food's good.
Wanna shop? Sunrise Mall is practically empty anymore. Padre Staples Mall seems to be doing better.

Corpus Christi is tiny! The most fun you can have is at the beach or at the childrens museum.
Don't listen to Miss "SCHLITTERBAHN!!!!". That place is like a 4 hour drive away.

Drive down to South Padre it is not that far, I drove from Michigan but by far Austin is the best town in TX.
