My son loves his gamecube and played soccer, but has never gotten interested in professional soccer. If I buy fifa 2006, will he like it or will it collect dust?

10 years old is a difficult age as their awarness and knowledge is growing extremly fast. His only real problem is that he may find judgment of space and tactics hard to really get interested in it. You may want to try the Backyard Soccer series or the Mario sports series as they are for a younger audience

I think FIFA 06 is the worst of the series so far and not very in depth, which might be good for a 10 year old. I would suggest getting FIFA World Cup 06 if you wanted a soccer game for him. Its much easier to pick a country than follow a club team.

the later versions of FIFA were rather difficult to pick up without more than a passin interest in soccer, the difficulty in execting forward runs and through balls prob means its not your best choice
