Men are not as fashion conscious or as demanding as women. They expect to pay 6 bucks for a t shirt whereas women will pay 16. Then the fashion designers say ok how about this, or this or this for the women paying 16 to 20 dollars now or even more, Supply simply meeting demand.

They have changed women's shirts over the years because women have changed the way they dress.
What was once unacceptable for women to wear has since become more acceptable. Women care what they look like and will not purchase something they don't care for.
While men, and yes a lot of them like to look good also, will compromise when picking out clothing.

Women have more curves to show off!! Also we spend more in general on clothes than men do, so designers tend to make more designs for us. Men really only have 2 options for t-shirts, loose or tight. Sorry, but if you want you can wear a woman's shirt!! But I say stick with what you have!

Well essentially, woman have more variety in body shape. Different cuts & styles fit each woman differently. And each woman has a type of shirt that fits her best, so it looks the best, and makes her look good too. Guys don't have quite has much variety in body shape...because they don't have breasts, which for women is a major factor in body shape depend on size. Guys also don't have hips, which affects it all too. Hope this helps!

There's not a lot you can do to change a t-shirt for mens styling. I like the ones with pockets, and the new "no tag" design is more comfortable. But what r u gonna do... lace, cut, frills, that's for womens fashion...

Generally, in western countries, womens clothes get more
and more variety and mens clothes get less and less.
WIth perhaps the exception of public decency (whatever that
might be today), a woman can wear whatever she wants, but
any attempt to change from the norm by a guy is defined
as bordering on cross dressing.
Since homophobia is as rampant as it is, ANYTHING
that touches on cross dressing is shunned in the male world
(see my one and only question).

Gap has an athlethic cut Tee-Shirt in a nicer fabric, for cheap.
Other than that, I think you might have to go to the designer end. And frankly a lot of guys are scared to go their because it looks a little "dandy". And they are too insecure to do anything but "macho"

Men are more interested in covering their flaws than women, who are more interested in showing off their assets. However, they should put warning labels on women's clothing clearly stating that this item may not look good on every body type. It could prevent a lot of premature blindness in men.
