Some people say when you are drunk your true feelings and self come out. Was this the real Mel or is the sober Mel the real Mel?

I think this was the untempered Mel of the moment - only he knows if he meant what he said or was just trying to be cruel in lashing out. Still, doesn't matter the motive - he said what he said.

It's not the booze. What came out from his mouth was what's in his heart. That was the real Mel, he hates Jews. I agree when people are drunk that's when their true feelings come out.

I think the real Mel has some issues he's got to work through. I wish him luck. There's some deep-seated yet probably unfounded hatred there. Perhaps his experience will show others the way.

Real. His dad is one of those anti semites who believes the holocaust never happened, thats the environment Mel was raised in. So its no wonder he has learned hate. Now he is disgraced. Good.

It was Mel. I think he's had to hide how he truly feels about things of that nature due to being a celebrity but the alcohol loosened his tongue.
