Be quick to listen and slow to respond. Tell your manager that you'd like some more responsibility in a certain area and then work hard to prove that you are capable. Act "as if"--that is, act in a way that you would if your were in a higher position with more responsibilities and authority. Show others respect and if they do not show you the same respect, talk to coworkers individually and enlist their help. Admit when you make mistakes and become a problem-solver, not a problem-reporter. Don't get frustrated or emotional when things aren't going your way. Smile and hold your head high. Good luck :)

It sounds as if you need to find a new job, being unappreciated is soul destroying in work and by the sounds of it you will never progress in this company. This is an indictment on the company ,not you,the management should nurture new workers because today's office junior could be the future manager.
Try another company,be confident and don't sell yourself short, tell any interviewers that you want a position with prospects where hard work and dedication are rewarded, unlike your last position if they ask why you left.
Good Luck.

I always believed to be more appreciated in work, you must appreciate the job you are doing - FIRST.

If you are satisfied, or even 'okay' with the job you do, then others may be just satisfied or okay with your work. HOWEVER, if you do the most amazing work and of course let's remind ourself at this time that some of us must adhere to 'deadlines' - and you fall within your deadline(s) then your boss may become overjoyed and may just reward you with a bit of time off (leaving 1/2 hour early on Friday afternoon)

As for those others whom ridicule and make life miserable for you, why not talk to them ask them 'What need do they have to make you feel this way?' Tell them openly that you are doing your best and that you don't appreciate their antics and will not tolerate their rudeness. Perhaps request that they give you pointers on how you can better yourself to 'their' standards (you would be surprised how quickly they turnaround and treat you like one of them) - If all else fails, perhaps a short/brief chat with your boss and bring this to his/her attention.

But all in all - if you appreciate the job you do and your boss does, what does it really matter what these other clowns think?

I wish you well in your job performance today, hun!

cheers

Just do the best you can at what you are doing, which it sounds like you are. Some people are unsung heroes in every profession. Going home at the end of the day knowing you did your best is the greatest reward. Don't worry about those folks at work-they know you do a good job even if they don't say it. If you notice them doing a good job, tell them!

Firstly ; why is this in fashion accs? Was that a ditsy moment or are you looking for something different to wear to work?! If you work hard, your work is accurate and what was asked of you, and if you relate to your colleagues well you should have the respect you deserve. If this doesn;t answer your question please add more details! Thanks

Join whatever clubs or volunteer organization your work is involved in. If there are no clubs, start up something, like representing the company for some charity or adopting a highway, or whatever will make you more important to whatever is important to them. They will discern your aptittude that way.

Just be yourself and don't try to impress others. IF they like you they will come to you, and if they don't well then don't make it an issue. Not everybody is liked by everybody who is around them. Believe me I play soccer on a team full of woman. It is not easy to have them all like you. So just be yourself and have more self confidence in yourself and things will be different. Don't let it bother you. Just be polite and respectful to the others.
