Cursed? As in bewitched or some such nonsense? No, all times are interesting, but the present is moreso to us because we are living in it and know all the little details, we also have 24/7 news and media and internet, so it just seems more intensive now

In the sense that we don't have it easy, or the ability to coast along without handling big decisions and responsibilites, I guess so. On the other hand, crisis is as often an opportunity as it is a threat, and disorder is just as often creative as it is destructive. We need strong leadership, a commitment to the right priorities and the resolve to protect and advance our national interest.
