here in boston,ma.area.is it because they are on allergy meds or don't know how to drive.

no clue. my old home got ran into because our neighbors drunk son didn't recognize his home and missed the garage.

Two yrs. ago a young man high on something drove his car into our front yard, knocked down shrubs and the mailbox, pushed my car in the driveway into my husband's.
Backed up, took off. Never caught. Police considered us lucky that "only property damage" was involved...made almost no effort to catch the guy even 'tho a neighbor said he saw a badly-damaged car speeding down the street.
My car: no collision insurance. Had to drive it looking like *** 'til I could afford to buy another one.
A horribly frustrating experience.
Have bitter feelings towards our local PD now. BTW, I'm in CA.
