The Chargers should make the playoffs without much difficulty, but the key will be how well Rivers manages as a starter. The game moves very fast at this level and can really rattle a first time starter and make them venerable to interceptions and miss reading receiver's routes. With this in mind don't be surprised to see Marty Schottenheimer focus on the run a great deal in the early weeks of the season.

No way. Chargers don't stand a chance. You lose your qb you lose a lot. Rivers had relatively no game experience. Plus the division they're in would make it tough for them to even get wild card. Broncos will win the division no problem. They did absolutely nothing to hurt them this year. Also the KC Chiefs should be a wild card for the AFC. They've only gotten tougher minus the loss of Roaf. It'd be a miracle if the Chargers go 8-8.

Sure they are one of the most talented teams in the league! But they were last year, too!

Never forget that they have Marty Schottenheimer as a coach - go look up his record. He has coached about a hundred years and not only has he NEVER won a Superbowl, he has NEVER taken a team TO the Superbowl! (Even complete idiots like Barry Switzer and Mike Martz managed THAT....) And check out the guy's overall playoff record.... he's a complete loser and EVERY ONE of his teams has been too.

The Chargers, 11-5 (on talent) or 5-11 (on Schottenheimer), you pick 'em!

With Rivers at QB they'll be battling the Raiders for last in the AFC West, 6-10 or 8-8 at best. Worse part is I think Martyball will rely heavily on Tomlinson and he'll get a heavy dose of abuse on his body this year. If you were a D coordinator playing SD this year wouldn't you put 8 in the box, shut down Tomlinson, and force Rivers to throw? I think you'll see lots on that this year.

Playoffs maybe why not, but for sure not the Superbowl, because the Dolphins are going to win and show to everyone that we are the best like the Heat 2006 NBA Champions.
The Miami Dolphins are next.

You bet.
They are hands down the most talented team in the AFC West and are going to be 10-6 or 11-5.

I think they will. It all rests on the slim shoulders of Mr. Rivers though.

Look for Merriman to break out like no one's business.
