Believe it or not, I've always liked to sing, but found my voice got much better when I started smoking. I found notes that I could never have found otherwise. Unfortunately, I started smoking 40-a-day which now has the reverse effect. Smoke 10-20 a day and your voice will get better.

It sounds like you're closing off the upper part of your pharynx (the back of your throat) when you sing. A couple of singing lessons would teach you how to sing with an open throat, and you'll love the change in the sound.

You're singing through your nasal cavity. Sing from your diaphram (your stomach muscles). It'll push the sound through your throat and out your mouth. Otherwise the sound gets trapped in your head.

You have to learn how to open your throat to let the sound come out better. Consult a voice coach.

You are just like me. There's nothing you can do. You just have to accept the fact that you can't sing and when you do, people may run......LOL
