ok... here is what you need to do.
Pi x 6 x 6 / 2
3.14 mulitplied by 6 multiplied by 6 divided by 2
3.14 x 6 = 18.84
18.84 x 6 = 113.04
113.04 / 2 = 56.52
The formula is Pi x 6 squared / 2
I hope this helps...

the radius is 6cm therefore the area of the full circle is:
PI x (6 x 6) = 36Pi
and then you just divide the area into halves..which means the area of the half circle would be = 18Pi
i think thats how u do it...but make sure with some other math genius

The answer is half the area of the whole circle. Since the area of the whole circle is pi times the radius squared, or 36*pi, the answer is 18*pi square centimeters.

The area of an entire circle is the radius squared, times "pi". So the area of half a circle is that, divided by two. One approximation for "pi" is 3.14159.

find the area of the whole circle ( pie x r x r ) usign the radius and then divide it by 2
so for ex : the radius is 6 cm
3.14 x 6 x 6
3.14 x 36
113.04
113.04 / 2
56.52
