Perhaps you should consider investing in a pair of Wolfords. They cost a small fortune, but you might be able to create a 'look' that will set you apart from the other waitresses. French restaurants are often pricey, so a few extra percentage points on the tips will more than pay for the hose. Also, Wolfords will likely last longer so that will offset the cost for each wearing. This is especially true with a support hose which you might prefer since you'll be on your feet a lot. Good luck with your new job.

As far as waitressing is concerned you might want to try what the girls at Hooters wear. They are actually designed for your type of occupation.

Check out this web page as they have several styles (for example, casino, high gloss, footless and fishnet) and colors to choose from, most of which on this page do come in black.

Sheer will run easier, so you might want the heavier material. Look for reinforced toes too since you will be on your feet so much and you won't want the toes to wear out. Go for several cheap pairs of something like Leggs, you don't want to spend a fortune on hose. Control top just means there is extra spandex at the waist and hips to thin you out and give you a smoother line. You can regular hose without the control in it and still have a good pair.

Control top and sheer to waist pantyhose are usually a personal preference. You have to choose whatever is more comfortable to you. It doesn't really matter what the panty section of the hose looks like unless you plan on flashing the customers.

There's a new product that is out now and I love it. It's an AIRBRUSH LEGS. It's a spray. and it's only less tha $10.00 and it won't run or anything, it doesn't stain, it dries up quickly and it's more than a sheer or control top. There are different kinds of brands and I use Sally Hansen's. I think it's perfect for you.

I wear sheer to waist all of the time. I don't like the binding of control tops - plus the sheer to waist styles breathe better and are much more comfortable. I wear L'eggs Sheer Energy sheer to waist most of the time. Also, if you're feeling SEXY, get some seamless sheer to waist hose. WOWEE!
