As a republican that is bordering on libertarian I am not happy with Bush's liberalism. I do believe we are in a global war and the left leaning media are acting as if it's a bunch of small police actions. As the result Bush cowtoes to the media for poll results. Also Bush and Congress are all acting like spend and debt democrats.. Spending is out of hand domestically.

Depending on the candidate, my vote will go to whoever makes it sound like spending and liberty will be paramount to social excesses and social controls.

I am optimistic about the future, because it will take a while to disembowel the new deal crap of FDR, we need to gain control of congress instead of congress controlling us.

Even within the ranks of the Republican part – from the upper echelon to its grassroots base – we are seeing a party that is growing increasing disgruntled with this President and his administration. I think many conservatives in this country were expecting sweeping social reforms to take place that would rescind many of the so-called liberal policies that are prevalent in society. However, much to their chagrin, Bush and his ilk, skirted their campaign promises for what was most profitable, while also subordinating other important conservative issues like the economy, immigration legislation, and the pro-life movement, for the war on terror. Conservatives have only themselves to blame for electing this man.

What leftist 'reality' are we refusing to deal with?

Can one of you actually come up with concrete examples, with evidence and proof from a legitimate news source to support your claims?

Just for once?

Well, in a sense, yes. You see, Republicans live in an alternate universe, rather than what we know as reality.

They're happy with him because he stands up for what he believes in rather than pandering to the polls like a little lapdog.
