For months now I have been getting these calls. Seems to be different person all the time, but when I pick up and say hello, the caller immediately says, "I'm sorry, I've got the wrong number." How can that be? My husband says well maybe person he was calling has no woman there. C'mon that many times. I don't think so. If it was telemarketer, why not talk. Who are these people??

I get wrong number phone calls all the time: I know someone gave his friend my number by error (made a mistake : our numbers are very close). so, you only need 1 man to make that error and some bad luck that he would chose your number to confuse his with...

poor luck. next time someone like that calls, tell him "wait" immediatly and try to know who he's calling.

other possibility : someone has decided to rob your house and has been calling (him and a few friends) to know when you're not home. (I believe you would already have been robbed if it were the case, though)

Some one has sold your number or it could be close to someones number that gives it out regularly. I wouldn't worry about it if you have caller id just don't answer a unrecognized caller

Have you recently moved, or had your telephone number changed? We received a trickle of calls for the person who had our number before us for several years, and he was a construction engineer losing a client with each call.

Perhaps your number is very similar to a local stores number... just a guess.
