The first baby is often overdue because it is the woman's first experience. The second time the woman and her body know more of what to do and how to do it and are more efficient, so the baby is more on time and labor shorter. The third one is often even faster and this is when we might find that we should get to the hospital sooner, or we might find ourselves to be one of those who has the baby in the cab.

First, i'm sorry on your loss - I had a stillborn daughter in Nov of '06 & i grew to become into approximately 6 months alongside, so i comprehend the way it quite is. i'm sixteen weeks pregnant now & I hassle for all time approximately this infant. as long as your OB isn't worried, you may desire to not be troubled. i comprehend it quite is not user-friendly to not think of roughly each and every thing that would desire to circulate incorrect, yet you may desire to easily loosen up & take it user-friendly this time around. i don't comprehend if there is any proportion value for the possibilities of having next stillbirths yet i don't think of it concerns. Stillbirths are like miscarriages an excellent style of the time - if it is going to ensue, there is many times not something you're able to do to circumvent it or supply up it. And while you're nevertheless quite frightened, possibly you may desire to make an appointment with a perionatologist (i'm uncertain on the subject of the spelling of that) - they are extreme-threat OBs & i'm advantageous they might placed your ideas slightly greater comfy. stable success & I hopre you have a happy, healthful being pregnant! :o)

A lot less likely than the first. Most women go past their due date with their first baby - average gestation for first-time moms is 41 weeks. With the second, the average is only 39 weeks. More than likely, you won't go past your due date with the second.

There's really no way to know. My three pregnancies were all fairly close in length.
First baby was born 9 days early.
Second baby was born 5 days early.
Third baby was born on her due date.
All were naturally occuring labors.

Every pregnancy is different. My mum had 3 kids, 1st one on due date, 2nd two weeks over, 3rd two weeks early. When the baby is ready, s/he will make an appearance.

As a mother already you should know that your baby will come when he/she is ready but i would say the chances of going overdue is 50/50

I was overdue 2 weeks with my second baby, just like I was with my first!
There's no way to tell for sure, though, if you will. It's like meteorology, you won't know till it happens.
Enjoy your pregnancy and best wishes!

Depends on the baby's size and formation in the womb. Eat right, sleep well and exercise, take your vitamins and you will be fine. Unless this is your 8+ kid (where they usually walk out), the 2nd kid will come out fine.

I think that the second one won't take as long as the first one. Do a lot of walking & that should help.
