Please help me with the following history essay questions or give me a site that will help me out. Please i really need help cause my notes are not good enough to answer the questions with.
1) How did the plebiscite change the situation in the Saar?
2) Explain why Hitler wanted the Nazi-Soviet Pact of 1939?
3) "The policy of appeasment was justified." How far do you agree with this statement?

Searching wikipedia's site for information on WW2 is your best bet for these questions - go to the source cited below and search for "Saar" and "appeasement". The Nazi-Soviet Pact of 1939 is more accurately called the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, and searching for information on that will help you to understand why it was advantageous to Germany and Hitler. Good luck with this. Everything you need to answer these questions (even the third one, which requires an opinion) can be found with just a little bit of work.

2) He wanted it to ensure that the USSR wouldn't have aggression towards him when he started invaded france. He didn't want a 2 front war...that way he could totally concentrate on the French and British. Of course, he never really intended to keep this pact forever...he believed that the USSR, like the rest of Europe, should be under the Germans.
3) I disagree. I don't think it's ever OK to allow somebody to violate the rights of another people just b/c you're scared of what will happen if you stand up to them.
