i might be able to help you out since i have had the same problem as you since i can remember. I tried everything and the only foundation that works for me is Estee Lauder Equalizer, it has been designed for combination skin, so it's not oily and it won't clog up your pores, its oil-free, fragance-free, non-acnegenic and dermatologist tested. It also glides smoothly on your skin. This foundation actually thinks for your skin!!!! It's simply the best out there.
Trust me, I have tried everything in the market and nothing else works for me, especially Mary Kay, their foundations have done nothing for me, they leave my skin dry and cakey looking.
hope this helps!!!!

Use a sheer formula, plus concealer for the occasional breakouts. Heavy foundation is not good.
Try a bunch of different ones. Or buy two different shades, and mix them. It took me a long time to find the foundation that matched my skin.

Lancome foundation has a very wide choice of foundations for oily, normal, combination skin...you should try it! Your foundation shouldn't be too "heavy", but always put on a good face-cream before applying foundation.
