It's normal for a hamster to poop pretty much everywhere. Yes, I've had them poop and pee in their exercise balls, which is why they almost always get a cleaning after use.

Yes. My hamster usually goes within a half hour of waking up, so i wait to put her in the ball until after that. Cuts down on the times she has accidents in the ball. More aggravating is the pee in the ball....

yes this is normal. just be on the lookout. you may find that some of the poop has slipped through the cracks and onto the floor!

OMG yes. But you can litter train them if it bothers you. They sell the training boxes at some petshops. Otherwise, just wash it out after the hammy's out (just a tip, let it dry before cleaning).

That's completely normal and gross. Rodents do not have the ability to "hold it" like larger mammals. They go to the bathroom without any thought.

i have had 4 hamsters
it is normal like she said when you gotta go you gotta go
and their system isnt too big so they only take like 10 minuts to digest most things

Yep, they really don't have much control of those matters. Not like dogs and cats do. They have no shame either. They just let it go.
