Because they don't believe that anyone but themselves is human... they believe that the rest of us in the world are animals...
thus to them they are not slaughtering innocent humans but instead helpless animals....

Its easy. The Israelis are sick of being bombed they are sick of having to guard their borders because some sick sheik is telling all his students that the only way to get to heaven is to kill innocent people in Israel, the U.S. and just about any other country. These people are barbarians and Israel is sick of being poked. Hezbollah's been poking the sleeping dog long enough, now its awake and angry. Thus they have decided to try and erradicate Hezbollah from the face of the earth, and in the process have killed a few hundred civilians. They think that is a little cost when you look at how many Israeli civilians have been brutally murdered over the years. They ought to just turn the whole damn thing to glass and get it over with.

eastern society in the time of WWII considered all civilians to be patriotic recruits for the military and so the US became terrified of those people because they were going up hostile to an entire human race. The Ming the cruel or Kull the Conqueror type stereotypes. using the atomic bomb became meant as a coach of ability and to knock the conflict lords out of ability. The Imperial army not had any credibility between the inhabitants. they'd no decision yet to unconditionally resign.
