Steve did leave to joint a band, but the band never really took off. The rumor of his going to college is what he said on the show Blues Clues (I'm a Kindergarten teacher and have watched this particular show.) I like Jo, I heard Steve was only coming back for like one show for like a special. I don't think he's returning to Blues Clues.

Some one told me that he left to join a rock band called Hot Lips. On TV, they said he was going away to college. Another person told me he comitted suicide. Whatever the reason, I guess we will find out later.
