Nope. Anything that happens in the dark could easily happen in the light. Don't be afraid.

Should you be afraid of the light?

Yes, inability to see increases the likelihood that bad things
are going to happen to you (trip over something, etc.) if
you move around.

However, in the dark you are more likely to stay put, perhaps
in bed, safe and sound.

Certainly nothing will attack in there that wouldn't also
attack you in the light of day (bed mites, etc.)

One major theory about why humans sleep is pretty simple:
To keep them out of trouble. A human staying put in a safe
place is LESS likely to be eaten by predators, not more so.
Even if that person is sound asleep.

Now, I don't know where you live, but if you have enough
access to the Internet to be asking the question, it seems
unlikely that predators are a big part of your life.

However, all of these probabilities effect your likely health
only in the micro-percentile.

Go out in the dark. Enjoy!

It really depends on your situation. If you are familiar with your surroundings (such as at home), then no. If you're lost in the woods, then yes -- although in that case you're really more afraid of what might be in the dark than the dark itself.

In many cases, fear of the dark is just lack of confidence. This is why you see it so much in children (not to say that you are a child). In some cases, it's perfectly justified, but in regular life, it's generally not.

It's all psychological. Media and books always say that in the dark, evil forces arise from under your bed. But if you grow up a little bit then u realize that darkness is just there because there is no light and nothing is lurking in there unless u expect someone lol so my final answer is "no"

Depends on where you are! What the situation is. For example:

If you are in a dark neighborhood that is unfamiliar to you than yes, because it is an unknown quantity that you have to deal with to get out of. You don't know what might happen to you being there.

No. If you are home in a dark bedroom because it is familiar and you just go to sleep.

Fears are learned responses. Someone had to suggest to you that it's logical to be afraid of the dark. Children wouldn't be afraid of it, unless you mention it. Just as a child would cross the street without a second thought, but we would say to them that it's dangerous! And that they should fear certain things. So, I'm saying challenge your fear, and try turning out the light! :)

There is no real reason to be afraid of the dark.

the dark cannot hurt you. What is in the dark can hurt you :).

Is it the dark you are afraid of or something in the dark. Find out what you true fear is - it usually is not the dark

Many people are afraid of the unknown. That is why so many people are afraid of the darkness. Darkness embodies the unknown.

No, you shouldn't. Don't worry though, I'm afraid of the dark too.
