I am new to Yahoo Q&As site, but I have gotten a lot of laughs from some of the pithy comments that appear as answers.
Although there are a few kuckleheads who ask inappropriate questions, I have enjoyed reading and answering most of the ones that I have selected.
One of the reasons is probably because, as my grandmother used to say, "You think you've got problems, eh? Well if you knew what everyone else had to deal with you'd take all your own problems back and quit complaining."
What does surprise me most about this site is that, in general, people try to be considerate, encouraging, compassionate, and helpful to others. Many are articulate and intelligent as well.

Well, someone had actually asked if humans are inherently good or evil, and I really believe (or at least want to believe) that people generally are good. There are a few oddballs here and there, but overall people tend to validate other people and try to help. It's probably because we are such a "socially-conscious" society. We need each other: the bad so we'll appreciate good, and the good so we know it still exists.
