malaysia is the only country in the world that has affirmative action for the majority race, and they practice institutionalized racism. non-malays and non-muslims are discriminated against, its like apartheid-light. boycott them! dont give them support with your trip. i left that freaking place and if i can help it, i'll never go back!

Here are my suggestions topics of research for tourism in KL:-

1. Shopping centres and Malaysia Sales Carnival in Suria KLCC, MidValley Megamall, Sunway Pyramid, etc.
2. Petronas Twin Towers.
3. KL Tower.
4. Different ethnic and race's food and delicacies.
5. Tugu Negara or National Monument.
6. Parliament building.
7. Sultan Abdul Samad building.
8. Dataran Merdeka or Independence Square.
9. Petaling Street or KL China Town.
10. Butterfly Park and KL Lake Gardens (Taman Tasik Perdana).

* Please take note that the above is only specific to KL and not to be confuse with its neighbouring Klang Valley states - Selangor and Wilayah Persekutuan Putra Jaya.

* Also, check with the official web site by Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board (Malaysian Ministry Of Culture, Arts And Tourism) at http://www.tourism.gov.my/

Travel advice?

Then it has got to be something like these:

1. Learn a little and respect the local multi-cultures in Malaysia

2. Stay alert and be careful of pick pockets in crowded areas / tourists spots

3. Stay alert and be careful of scams, especially for the female travellers

4. Stay alert and be careful of strangers (especially the foreign workers), most are genuine to help but few others have other unpleasant intentions

5. Enjoy the views, the people and the local delicacies!

Sounds like it's a hard place to live in? Nope, maybe not. But it's always wiser to be safe than sorry.
