Compile a cd with some your/his favorite music (set the mood), prepare a nice dinner...his favorite or something that you guys don't usually do. Eat it with candle light. Pull out his favorite nightie, or even better...go buy a new one (i love it when my wife buys new lingerie). Don't tell him ahead of time. When he comes home, direct him to the bedroom and have him change into something a little dressier. Serve him dessert (chocolate covered fruit is always good) in the new nightie and let the night go where it goes. and the first idea is always a good too if you have the right spot (picnic at night).

There are lots of things you can do without even leaving the house! First, take the phone off the hook! Cook a nice dinner and eat by candelight with music, dance around slowly afterwards. Take a bubble bath together, give him a little massage and well, you figure out the rest. It doesn't have to be expensive to connect and have a romantic time together.
